1084sp popping sound
hi
I have a 1084Sp that was stored for 30 years, I've recently connected it to my A2000, it worked fine for a couple of days and then died. I've replaced the flyback with a modern hr diemen 7506 and now it's working again, however I've noticed some popping sound, especially when cold. I've tried to run it without cover (so speakers not attached) to check for arcs but in that case no popping (and I couldn't see any arcing). I've sprayed deoxidant into volume trimmer and the trimmer on the audio board, seems better but still popping. Could it be caps? Could it still be something related to flyback? Any suggestion on what to check? |

Perhaps degaussing coil? If audio circuit then some DC bias can be responsible for such effect.
