Blasphemous II by Team 17
Tomorrow is the day! Blasphemous II, distributed by the glorious Team 17 is going to be released. I already preordered it becuase the first instance of the game, Blasphemous, really felt like a "Super Amiga Game", something we dreamt about when we heard of a 32 bit Amiga coming out. The graphics, the music style, the Team 17 logo, all reminded my of what I wanted to play back in those days, and I really hope the sequel will be good.

Do you mean that an Amiga version of this game is coming or that it reminds you of old team'17 amiga games ?

Yeah looking forward to it. Blasphemous is an absolute gem. ... If you like games with really weird imagery and a very abstract plotline.
I'm not sure if I'm going to play it close to release though, I might wait a couple of months. I kind of want to see where it goes DLC-wise if it follows the same line of development as the first game. |

I spent a lot of hours playing it on PC last year. Very hard game with many side quests.

Still from all of the available Metroidvanias... actually one of the more doable ones.

You are kidding but i tried to redo some guitar tracks in mod, no way without using at least 300k for decent samples -_- unless we target 030+ so to use MP3s

Don't think that is really needed, you'd essentially end up with something that is very close to Odyssey, but not Blasphemous.

Ha ha Can't argue with that kind of passion. Eh. Start with the different title screens (because for each DLC there was a new one and each subsequent one was cooler looking than the one before). See how that works out.

Yeah, the game's pretty fucking incredible. Based on the Spanish folklore/religion most of the things were inspired by real life events but don't wanna spoil anything, I just watched it on youtube since the skills aren't there anymore...
PS: There's a hidden demake arcade game inside the game, with cute pixeled graphics! The Complitionist made a nice video about it but it spoils a lot of stuff: [ Show youtube player ] |
