@coldacid

+1

@Promilus

Propably more would have been possible. But the majority of V2 users was at least OK with what they got and the focus already shifting to the new hardware generation

because at least Gunnar seems to make his living from the sales.
And here I thought he was IBM specialist during Natami years and afterwards designing ARM SoCs at Huawei. Both with relatively good and stable salary I assume. I don't think that all those apollo accelerators sold over those few years can really compare. But it - at least - return invested time and money.

if I understood it right they get a license fee for every sold device (for the core) and sold a couple of thousands cards. Gunnar certainly earned more when he was working at IBM but at least it is income.

"Where's the A3000+ with AGA chipset and DSP that you promised us? It was in Beta godammit, and now you're telling us to buy an A4000 instead! And the C65, why did you kill it? And AAA, Ranger, the 6563 video chip, the TOI - why do you keep breaking promises?!?"
AT&T DSP3210... AA3000+ design was released, cloned and it was late.
