Skinvaders

Skinvaders

Essential:
-simple game, small size, simple code.
-doesn't use 55+ bobs so it's fast.
-free AMOS source code
-by default, 1-5 SKINs are uploaded, but the graphics can be replaced regardless of the program code, and thus the game can have a completely different appearance. It is recommended that these can be inserted in positions 6-9.
-Background can be a maximum of 8 colors in a 240x240 image size.
-Opponents' images can be up to 8 colors in 624x800 image size
-The condition is that the background and foreground (opponents) have the same color depth
-The two animation phases of opponents must be located in the areas (224,224 to 400,304) and (224,624 to 400,704).
-will play "NMusic.mod" file if available (N is the number of skin)

Asa fellow Space Invader maker - good game! I like the built in skinning which is something I try to allow in my games too. Well done.

I haven't been able to be active for several months, so this little project skinvaders was what I used to refresh my momentum. In addition, an anim player that I think is quite useful was created, which could be used independently or even integrated into amos games (background anim, intro, etc.)
A new gfx+tileset made for Quest so there is a 4th map on the way.
...and if the question concerns Project Horizon, I will forward the question to the person in charge. For reasons that are understandable to me, but unfortunately I'm waiting for it just like everyone else :/

I liked the detail when the little monster steals the letter.
When you made it... did you also feel the weird dilemma, should I stay with the original version?... or should I include something new?... but that would lose the image of the original space invaders.

Originally no - it just came out of a proof of concept and that fact that the original Space Invaders only moves one invader at a time. Then it became an arcade accurate port. I have a working two player version -turn taking which just has a few bugs to iron out but am considering a two player simulataneous version as an extra!

Just needs to put it in the finished cateogary so I can go back to Target Renegade Remix. Unfortunately, work and teenage GCSEs have got in the way of programming in the last year...
