Chips was ok.
When i bought this Amiga sockets was already installed. So with help of Amiga PCB explorer web page manage to found that pin 7 on U19 does not have proper connection so i used jumper wire to fix issues and it worked!! |

I also had pin7 of U19 without proper connection! Also had to use jumper wire to fix it... is that just a coincidence? |

Hi,
I have the same board revision. I'm wondering if this board supports Chip RAM expansion cards similarly to the full A500+ or what is needed for that? Is the logic chip (U35) required so that expansions can be used to extend Chip RAM? The reason I'm asking is I'm not that confident with my soldering skills so would like to minimize the soldering needed. Specifically if I can get by without soldering the extra RAM chips and end up with 1,5MB Chip using just an expansion that would be sufficient for my needs. Thanks a lot! |

My suggestion is to get a 2MB Chip expansion that plugs into the Agnus socket and a Denise HR. Less hassle than trying to make an A500+ out of a Rev 6.

silly question: i am thinking of upgrading the memory on the motherboard. what is the voltage for the capacitors (c16 - c23) the markings are A5E 334 Zaa 104. the only thing in my search shows 50v but i am not sure,
besides the ic chips and the caps is there anything else that needs to upgraded? a500 rev 6a |

It is usual for bypass caps (104 = 0.1uF) to be rated to 50v, they will work fine. As far as attention to detail when refurbishing these caps, try to find ones with the same lead spacing to suit the PCB thru-holes... Jope's right btw ~ better to go that route imho. |
