Powerstrip (custom video mode) alternative?

Back in the day, Powerstrip was the only application I was aware of that allowed for true 50Hz display in conjunction with WinUAE on 'modern' PCs (and in fact allowed for autoswitching, which was badass!).

I learned to my slight horror that apparently that application has been unsupported and gone since 2016 (!).

Is there another application that allows for creation of custom video modes that WinUAE is happy with (in full screen)? Last time I checked, neither the AMD nor nVidia drivers/tools/utilities would do so (they would create a refresh rate that Windows could/would use, but not WinUAE).

I guess it all depends on the graphics card (and probably monitor) you have. AMD software allows you to create custom resolutions with refresh rate of your choice. I have it set up like this:

Does it actually work (for dynamic mode switching, like hitting spacebar at a Kickstart 2.x/3.x boot menu screen)? I'd read several places that the vendor-supplied stuff works for Windows but not WinUAE.

Cool - waiting on hardware to arrive but will give this a try. Thank you both!

CRU is a nice little tool to set custom resolutions.
I use it to set a perfect 50hz resolution for WinUAE on an CRT screen.

@FreakyDan Absolutely BRILLIANT, thank you! It even works on my piece-of-crap Iris chipset on my testbench laptop! This is exactly what I was looking for (and autoswitch even works)!
