There is a way to conect an A500 to an A1200 ???
What kind of cable and software i´ve to use ...

...depending on what you want to do. You can use a null modem cable and some terminal software (Term, NComm etc) to transfer files.

You can also use ParBench which uses a special cable to connect the machines using the parallel ports. This lets you transfer files and also has slightly more advanced features too I think.

Personally I always used a null-modem cable - its not quick but it gets the job done. You can find all the software and instructions you will need on Aminet...there should be at least one terminal program which works on WB1.3 IIRC. Hope this helps.

I've always been a fan of NComm

NComm 3.0
NComm 3.06 update
NComm 3.06 public keyfile

It's compatible with Workbench 1.3

NComm was always my choice for term program in the good old days. Arguably better than JRComm or Term, IMO.

Remember the good old days of BBS's? No incompatibility issues when calling boards like you now see with web sites. Ah, nostalgia...

I have JRComm installed but I preffer NComm meself, it's much better!

You could use the Parnet or Sernet software you can find on the Aminet. I recommend a parallel connection because it will be faster

I´ll check the progy and use a parallel conection (if i find my cabel ...).

I´ve my A1200 drive broken (its one of those HD drives with the compatabilies problems), and i want transfer some stuff from A1200 to A500 and vice versa. So i´ll try that way.
