JIT crashing at 1Gb RAM
Of course, this is by design and is mentioned carefully in the JIT docs.
I was wondering if, rather than having it crash on boot with an obscure error window, we take a slightly more structured approach and do one of the following: 1. If JIT is enabled, limit the amount of RAM which can be allocated. 2. If 1Gb RAM is selected, disable JIT and inform the user. 3. Something similar to the above. |

32-bit WinUAE or Windows? It has per-process address space limit and can cause unexpected crashes when WinUAE needs to allocate more RAM, for example mode switch, GUI open, file access etc..
It depends on drivers, Windows version etc. Can't be predicted. |
