I am good at SFML coding on PC as I been doing C++ since 1997 but it is no fun coding on pc and I did rather code on Amiga because it is more challenge.
SDL2? I have no clue on what I need get running on Amiga or Amiga Emulator. |

the old timer coders would probably be best to answer you in full.
"Things" you can code with on the amiga? er doubt i can remember everything but what i can remember is... Classic/Older Solutions ------------------------- OS3.2 NDK - https://aminet.net/package/dev/misc/NDK3.2 ADE - https://aminet.net/package/dev/gcc/ADE StormC (Free early versions, commercial V4) - http://grandis.nu/turransearch/searc...0&httplinks=on - https://www.haage-partner.de/amiga/storm/sc_e.htm GCC - https://aminet.net/search?query=GCC&sort=date&ord=DESC - the ADE package is a more recent collection of GCC stuff. SAS/C - http://grandis.nu/turransearch/searc...0&httplinks=on Amos/AmosPro (enhanced basic) - http://grandis.nu/turransearch/searc...0&httplinks=on Blitz Basic 2 - http://grandis.nu/turransearch/searc...0&httplinks=on More Modern Creations or Re-Creations ------------------------------------------- Amos Pro Unity (recentish attempt to recode Amos for AGA) - https://amos-professional-unity.fred....php?rubrique1 AmiBlitz3 (Enhanced Blitz basic + pretty much every 3rd party addon/expansion for it) - https://github.com/AmiBlitz/AmiBlitz3 REDPILL Game Creator - https://aminet.net/package/dev/misc/REDPILLGameCreator - https://trackerhero.wixsite.com/redpill Scorpion Engine - https://github.com/earok/scorpion-editor-demos earok the author of scorpion i think does a load of twitch streams showcasing his improvements to scorpion as well as looking for bugs by going over his collection of demos which i think are the yardstick for checking if something broke in a newer version. um, anyone else got something more explanatory/better? i got nothing when it comes to assembly/etc, gonna need help there for those options, as for whats best? comes down to personal preference, i quite like AmiBlitz3, simplifies things that should be simple and you can still "do it all your way" if you prefer. Thanks DisasterIncarna
I have used AmiBlitz3 (good) Blitz Basic 2 (Bit tricky but once you know how work and faster than Amos!) AmosPro(My Fav but it is slow thought depend what kind of game you making!) Scorpion Engine (They are getting better all the time) kamelito: Raylib is easier than SFML. Yes, I agree as I used raylib lots too. At the moment, I made game in Amiga Amos called Sea Wolf(simple game) and just need sort the bullets, title screen, Collisions then Done. Graphics of it isn't great because I am not Artist ! |
