WHDLoad - Jittery mouse movement in some games

Has anyone experienced 'jittery' mouse movement on WHDLoad?
If so, how (if at all) did you solve this issue?

This 'jitteryness' basically makes some games unplayable.
I'm on an (NTSC) A2000 equipped Vampire system.

Any feedback is appreciated.

You need to give some examples, otherwise "jitteryness" is a bit too subjective term to judge.

In the game Dungeon Master, for instance, the mouse position jumps 'erratically' vertically when moving the mouse.

Possibly disk accesses? WHDload has to stop game, return everything to normal for OS, access disk, put everything back for the game, start game.

Check the icon for DungeonMaster. Select it, then using the menu select icon info. See if it has a tool type PRELOAD. If not then add it. See if that helps.

Possibly you don't have enough RAM and WHDload cannot PRELOAD? (Doesn't sound likely with Vampire)

Consider not using WHDLoad? I played the Psygnosis version (3.6) of Dungeon Master on my 040 Amiga A4000 from HD without WHDload and it worked fine.

Good idea. I will give this a try tonight or during the weekend.

I formatted a drive with WB 3.1, rather than what I was using 3.2.1.
The jitteriness is still there.

I also tried Coffin OS (Vampire). Issue still present.

I'm kinda annoyed by this. I'm not sure booting from floppy will work unless I flash my Vampire Rom to KS 1.3 (which I kinda don't want to do). But perhaps temporarily using VampireMap with KS 1.3 may work. No time for this now. Weekend project.

Is it only in WHDLoad? Because it sounds to me like it is a HW problem and thus should show everywhere, even in the pre-boot environment (hold down both mouse buttons during reset).

I have not determined whether or not I have a hardware issue. I can say that the mouse works fine normally (WB) as well as in some WHDLoad games.

I have resolved the issue.

The jitteriness was caused by my RAM card (ICD AdRam for the record, fully populated with 8Mb), which I really don't need as the Vampire has sufficient onboard memory.
