Ambermoon manuals or 2008 vs 2022
The title is a bit of click bait, but to prove a point about how far we've come when it comes to preserving things I'd like to show of the German manual of Ambermoon in two versions: https://hol.abime.net/3256/manual
The version on the left was submitted in 2008 and is readable. It's not bad by any means. The version on the right was kindly allowed to be added in 2022. The text is clear enough to have been OCR'ed so you can search the manual. The only downside is the size of the file. If you have a game with a manual please have a look at HOL and if the manual is more like the version on the left consider scanning it so we have something that we could call preserved |
