WinUAE - GUI with Joystick

Hello,

Not sure if this has been mentioned in the past, but it is possible to add Joystick control within the GUI of WinUAE?

It seems logical for people with Mini PC's gaming from the couch.

For Example with Gui Control...

DPad navigate Menu's
A=Select
B=Back
Start = Start
Select = Reset
Select & Start = Quit WinUAE

I'm sure there's more possibilities with extra unused buttons on a controller.

It should be possible to select GUI elements with a joystick like TAB selection works but I am not sure if there is sane way to decide which is closest element in each 4 direction.

It does work this way in Amiberry on the RPi, which has similar layout to WinUAE. It is indeed sometimes confusing, especially within drop down menus, but overall workable, something you can get used to.

Currently
TAB = Move to next
Shift TAB = Move Back one

Just an idea... You could alocate the 4 buttons on the controller....

"X West Button" = Shift TAB = Move Back one
"Y - North Button" = TAB = Move to next

"A - South Button" = To Select/Open Tab
"B - East Button" = Back out of active Tab

Dpad can still navigate to nearest tab option from active tab, Closest elements can still work. WinUAE does seem to have symmetrical elements (well I seem to think so anyway)
