EaglePlayer and 68060.kibrary

Hi there, especially to the experts in '060!

As I explained in another thread, EaglePlayer causes MuForce (and Enforcer) hits when playing .IT files. These hits only happen on my '060, not on my '040. After many experiments, I could narrow down the problem to the '060 and, maybe?, the 68060.library?
  • On my '040, EaglePlayer starts fine and can play .IT files well.
  • On my '060, when booting with SetPatch and running MuForce (or Enforcer), there is some video trashing when EaglePlayer starts and it causes hits when playing .IT files but it can play other types of modules well.
  • On my '060, when booting without SetPatch, there is no video trashing when EaglePlayer starts (but then I cannot play any module because it crashes with 8000 003D because the 68060.library is not loaded).

(I'm using EaglePlayer v2.06, SetPatch v45.15 and 68060.library v46.5.)

So, it seems that there are some bad interactions between EaglePlayer and the '060, doesn't it? Or are they due to my versions of SetPatch/the 68060.library?

Cheers!

So instead of using ThorsMMU setup. Have you tried using the standard 060 Blizzard library?

Hi Leon!

Great idea but no joy

I replaced Thor's 68060.library with the v43.1 from Phase5 but with exactly the same behaviour: video "trashing" when starting EaglePlayer and MuForce hits when playing .IT files...

Any idea?

Without further information, there is nothing to do. You need to:

-install the disassembler.library
-install SegTracker
-Run SegTracker in your startup-sequence
-Enable the "DisPC" option in MuForce
-Provide the details on the hit, i.e. the output of MuForce, either through Sashimi, or through a serial terminal connected by a null-modem cable at 9600 8N1, or through "Syslog" (as of Os 3.2) which can be enabled in the boot screen, and which will write its output to RAM:
