Amiga Bootblock Reader v5 and DataCentre alpha
Amiga Bootblock Reader v5
A program for the collection and celebration of Amiga disk bootblocks Hello everyone - Redesigned interface again (its fun) - Now recognises 2820 different bootblocks - Bootblock analysis using IRA removed due to unexpected complexity in instruction interpretation (if someone uses this function, tell us and we will reimplement it ) - Added 'Batch DMS Unpacker' to facilitate unpacking of large amounts of DMS files - Added automatic recognition of bootblocks in Boot ripper (CRC based) - Add more bootblock categories (Virus Free Message and RAM Switch) (Not all bootblocks are in correct categories yet) - Now uses a memory buffer instead of disk for zip decompression - Some bootblocks now have GIF pictures attached to display animation - Lots of other fixes etc There was lots of name / class change in the brainfile (hopefully correct) ABRv5 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U4G...w?usp=drivesdk ABRv5 Bootblock and encyclopedia pictures (66MB) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U41...w?usp=drivesdk DataCentre (Alpha build) Small program which can create data files for use in RomCenter / ClrMAMEPro - When scanning zipped ADF's, it will create a dat file much like Logiqx datutil does - If the 'All files' selection is selected, you can create a data file of ANYTHING that a CRC32 can be generated for (example - DMS Files) Has a function to remove duplicate CRC's (still working on it) Download: DataCentre.zip (I had the DC zip file on Google drive and it was immediately 'flagged for abuse' - not sure why) Last edited by jasonver2.0; 27 February 2022 at 02:12. Hi, it's good to see that you are still working on your program About the bootblock "Unknown Virus 3 [4E896580]", for me, it's just a bootloader of a demo and not a virus...even if there is a provocative message in the boot. Do you have any information on the subject? |

Dont really remember. Using IRA appears to move something in 42(A6) which is the Coolcapture vector?
(Possibly a misunderstanding - hence the reason we removed the IRA part of ABR ) Unknown Virus 3 (IRA output).txt |

I understand your doubts but what should the user do when he finds this bootblock in his disk? Delete it? The only thing he will gain is a blank disk because the demo will not work anymore...
Beyond that, two things may be relevant: - Put the bootblock in a neutral category (boot loader for this case) and indicate in the name of the bootblock its suspiciousness. - Send the bootblock to Georg Wittmann |
