A4000 power switch

The power switch on my friend's Amiga 4000 is damaged. The tip of the actuator has snapped off so that the plastic rod coming from the front of the case has nothing to slide over and keep it in place.

I'm having trouble finding a replacement switch. They don't seem to make mains voltage push switches like that any more. Does anyone know if they are still made or available somewhere?

Alternatively, I was thinking about trying to fix the switch with something like Suguru. The broken part is long gone, but maybe a new part could be fashioned somehow.

Hi Zero,

As you are in the UK PM me your address and I'll send you a couple for free.
I bought 10 a while back. They are 100% identical to the original A4000 switches.

Can't find where I bought them from, have a feeling it was China.

Thanks, that's very generous!

Thanks to nogginthenog, I now have a fixed A4000 PSU.

For reference:

Original switch is a "Canal PSD-1", 7.5A/10A 125/250VAC. It also says "TV-5" and "T85" on it.

The replacement that nogginthenog sent, which is a perfect fit, is a "Solteam PS3-22". It says "TV-8" and "T85" on it.

Hi,
I need to replace my A4000 Power switch and I'm having a hard time finding the replacement mentioned.

Could anyone let me know where I can find the power switch or other replacements available in the market?

AmigaKit sells the switches as an option on their ATX power adapter for the A4000. I have purchased two recently.

These guys might ship to you: https://www.electromyne.de/Electroni...0A-250VAC.html

You might be able to repair it too. The old superglue and baking soda trick works well.

Thank you Zero for the suggested link, but it's Sold Out.

Does anyone else have other suggestions?
