A tip for the future: if scanning a black & white document, scan at high resolution (e.g. 600dpi) bilevel (two colours, black and white). The resulting image files are far smaller than JPEGs and look a lot better on-screen.

A missing Amiga format issue is there in case anyone is interested. EdiT: More here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Amiga-For...item3aaf6de972 I'll be happy to buy them but dont have the resources to scan them. If anyone wants to scan them and keep the copies of the mags let me know and i'll get them for you Last edited by Impakt; 10 August 2015 at 07:36. |

I have those 4 issues, along with coverdiscs.
Are any of them really missing though? I have them in PDF as well, and I didn't scan them myself (ie. I must've downloaded from somewhere). Not Amiga format, but I also have physical copies of the missing issues of Amiga Down Under/Oz Amiga. |

that link leads to no download, or was you more successful? There's a magnet link that doesn't work and the torrent leads to mega to download the actual .torrent file, did you actually try the file once you downloaded it?, nothing seems to be there, at least for me anyway

I literally got the whole torrent a few seconds ago and am now seeding, and will be for as long as possible. Im also seeding a bunch of other commodore magazines from that site (along with the TOSEC images for c64 + amiga). Been seeding them all for months, if not years.

I'm totally stunned reading these pages...
... AF was a totally unique experience, but I never expected people would still be trying to find and read copies of it a quarter of a century later. |

On the Retro Hour podcast at 1hr 5m 43s Ben Vost mentions that he gave the CDs that had all the Amiga Format backups from issue one to the end to a couple of guys, and this post mentions this. http://www.amiga.org/forums/showpost...28&postcount=6 Ben says it would be quite nice to get the Amiga Formats available in the public domain as they are the original master PDFs, and the scans are of varying quality (although great to have). I have contacted JJ that started the above thread, but he stated he didn't get those CDs as there were another couple of guys there too. Would it be worth trying to track these down? |

I could upload the Amiga Format Magazine Scans to EAB FTP if you like. It will take some time though as the collection is about 25GB.

Thalion is this pdf collection complete now?
These are what we have but not complete, we had to move them all to archive.org, the leeching was killing our server. http://www.vintageisthenewold.com/downloads/magazines/ |

I don't know how many special issues there are but i have every 136 of the regular issues as PDF.
It is a mix of different collections i could get hold of in the past. So guess they are not master scans but better than nothing for me. |

Awesome, I loved buying and reading Amiga Format in the past. I even got Jay Miner to autograph an issue for me way back around 1993 in Oakland, CA. It's nice that the collection is being preserved for all Amiga fans to enjoy.

I also submitted the subscriber newsletters to Mort about 9 years ago, but they never made it to the collection.

Morning,
Sorry for the thread bump. Most of the links to Amiga Format downloads in this thread don't work anymore, and archive.org seems to have taken down most of their collection of Amiga Format magazines (https://archive.org/details/amigaformatmagazine) - although I know they were still there in August 2020. Has anyone resurrected the magazines? Would love to read through some of them again! Thanks |

I've used these links to grab issues here and there. Includes lots of books, specials, supplements etc.
Amiga Format Books - https://commodore.bombjack.org/amiga...rmat-books.htm Amiga Format Special Issues / Bundle Issues - https://commodore.bombjack.org/amiga...ial-issues.htm Amiga Format Backstage - Newsletters for Subscribers - Only 58-68 available - https://commodore.bombjack.org/amiga...-backstage.htm Amiga Format Magazine - https://commodore.bombjack.org/amiga...iga-format.htm Amiga Format Supplements - https://commodore.bombjack.org/amiga...upplements.htm And from that collection i am interested in completing things. Heres what i think is missing... Amiga Format - Book - Get The Most Out Of Your Amiga 1992 Amiga Format - Book - Special Issue 8 - 1994 Amiga Format - Book - Special Issue 10 - 1995 Amiga Format - Book - Bundle A1200 - Desktop Dynamite 1993 Autumn (free with A1200 desktop dynamite bundle) Amiga Format - Backstage - Newsletters for Subscribers - Only 58-68 (Others do exist) Amiga Format - Supplement - Issue 029_1991_Dec_Amiga_Buyer Amiga Format - Supplement - Issue 059_1994_May_Amiga_Shopper |
