Setmap probably comes from the startup-sequence you posted earlier, see attached image. Setmap is originally a part of Workbench 1.3 and missing from 2.0 and later (not usually needed since you select the keymap in the preferences). Comment that line out as well.
Do you have a Utilities directory on the boot drive? |

If the directory SYS:Utilities doesn't exists just create it and it should solve the message.
If "setmap" do not exits in the search path (usually C: ) you can copy it to C. I do not know OS 2 but the startup-sequence looks like the pre owner has changed it a bit. If you want to use this installation you should learn what the changes do or start with a clean OS install. Edit: Hadn't seen the last two posts. |

As already said you have to create the system folder "Utilities" that you have deleted or moved, in the startup-sequence you should have the command Path ram: c: sys:utilities etc..... This command is used to execute from these paths without the need to type them, in practice from a shell you can execute all the commands included without writing the path. SetMap is an application of old Amiga OS (it is located in the system folder), but it works also with the new ones to set the language of a keyboard or to create custom function keys, maybe to execute files from a menu without typing them. SetMap is the equivalent of Keyb MS-DOS In this video you can see some of my compilations of 30 years ago where games and utilities were started from function keys set and started from SetMap.
