Software with bugs
Over the years I have made a small collection of tools for messing about with Protracker modules. One tool that I have always wanted is a command line converter from Protracker to The Player, so I can integrate it into my automated build process.
I have finally had the time to create a small program that does just that. The goal is that the new converter should be bug for bug compatible with p61con. I have tested it with > 100 modules and the programs create identical files. However it is likely that there still are some modules that my program does not handle correctly. The program is written in Rust and it should not be too hard to compile it for your favourite (modern) platform. Source code is available at https://github.com/hypp/modtool. |
