Can I just say though... CD-ROM distribution only? Downloads to follow? A) I would think the reverse would be quicker and easier, and B) I don't even have a modern computer with a CD-ROM drive any more. Nice looking packaging though.

Agreed ! Download option should be first. I have no CDROM either.

I was surprised to see download isn't available yet. I'm with modern tech, and ready for it. But I'd also really dig CD-ROM. I've been checking Hyperion for the past few days as I had an intuition nudge that it's on the way. Sweeeeeet delight. I looked at Amiga On The Lake and I don't see anything related to it, yet.

My screen (which is not the out of box look but close enough)

As you can see I managed to make TextEdit handle multiple files, and there are highlighters for ARexx, shellscript, C and 68k asm

The highlighters (or filetypes as i call them) are handled by a plugin but the api of that plugin is not published/finalizeed yet. However if any of you are interested in getting a head start I have no problem with telling you in private. The API will probably be fixed in a patch release. And any input 3rd party devs of such plugins might have will go into making the filetype plugin api better.

Impressive, Amiga OS is getting better and better. Now I am waiting for the possibility to run WB in HAM modus natively without patches.

I should just mention, the pointer under "Mouse usage" in the first screenshot is not the actual pointer, it is an inline graphic in the AmigaGuide, which is another new feature :-)
