Hi all, yes It's Friday again and that means It's another "Shit Game Time" review and this time I've been asked to play and shit-rate Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom on our beloved Amiga by Youtuber Scpuzy, what can I say but YUK!

There was a port of ToD for Amiga??? Thought was only for Atari ST
And reminds me the speccy version - but that IMO was better (by the way then they ask me why i mostly hate flutes on amiga songs, because those were DARN EVERYWHERE) Last edited by saimon69; 30 April 2021 at 23:32. |

I happen to like this game. It’s definitely weak in the graphics department, but the sound/music on the Amiga version is darn good. Fate of Atlantis is, of course, the definitive Indy game on the Amiga, but this one’s alright for a quick session.

1. The movie is great, up there with the other two.
2. You need to fix your topic title. |

Atari ST port runs smoother than this. Amiga version got just slightly better music...

Not trying to defend this game as an overlooked gem. But I will argue that it’s... alright... and not poo. |

In my memory I was very fond of at least one version of this game, I think the C64 one. Except for the cart sections.

I remember asking myself why am I even bothering trying this...
I should probably try all different versions on MiSTer. From what I can find, those systems had it released...
There got to be one that is at least playable apart from Arcades. |

I assumed the typo was deliberate because Temple of Doom is set in India. I thought you were trying to suggest Indy was getting down with the culture... or summink.

Wasn't the movie banned in India when it was released?
Not sure about video games. |

Yes, the Indian government didn't appreciate the voodoo elements/derogatory stereotyping etc. so blocked the production from filming in their country (causing the crew to relocate to Sri Lanka) and then banned the movie upon release. I think the censorship order still stands to this day.
