I need help with a Kipper A1200SDE+

I bought the board second hand but it never came with any cables etc.

Does anyone know where I can find how to make the cables up, and get any software/drivers needed?

I'm based in the UK, but the only place that seems to sell them now is "Amiga on the Lake", but they've never replied to my emails.

Hopefully someone knows the details?

I have one. The software can be grabbed from Mike Stirling's website here:

https://www.mike-stirling.com/2018/0...he-amiga-1200/

He wrote the firmware for the board. I assume you want a cable for the SPI ethernet? Have you acquired an SPI ethernet module as yet?

Thanks for the link.

I have nothing extra for it all. I don't even have any documentation for it.

Thank you for the link to the software.

@solidcore was leading this in the UK and there was a thread specifically for this I believe by @kipper2k.

I'm sure both of these could offer some support if required.

BTW where did you buy it from?

The RAM part just works out of the box - there's a jumper to select 4/8M for PCMCIA reasons.

The drivers are for the SDCARD reader, and the optional Network adapter - both of which work really well

@lesta_smsc Thank you for the names. I sent emails to kipper2k, but got no reply. I didn't know of solidcore.

I bought the card second hand. I just wanted some extra memory, while I wait for a vampire.

@indigolemon Yeah, the ram works fine. It's the rest of it I'd like to get my money's worth out of. I just assumed it would be easy to find info on it. Kipper's site seems to be no longer ran. I've tried looking for wiring details, or just buy the cables, etc. Either I'm sticking in the incorrect keywords, or I'm just overlooking them.

I'm not so sure the network drivers are working from the downloads anymore. I've not got a clue how to recompile stuff, so that's something to learn.

Thanks for the help both of you.

@AmigaNoob - if you grab this package it's all precompiled: https://www.mike-stirling.com/files/...s-7f2475aa.zip

Mike just provides the code as well to help people out

For networking - you need to get your hands on an SPI ethernet card, but a 3v3 one. This one would do https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XH8SRRQ/ref=dp_prsubs_1 - you can tell it's 3v3 as it doesn't have a voltage converter onboard (it's a 3v3 IC).

I used dupont cables (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Elegoo-120p.../dp/B01EV70C78) to hook it to the K1208 - the SPI connector is the one nearest the SDCARD slot. The pins should be labelled so you can link them to the ethernet module.

From there you need a network stack, but the files Mike gives include a standard SANA driver, so setup is pretty easy.

The SDCARD slot has a suitable device driver included, so create a mount file and you're sorted.

Give me a shout if you hit any snags!

Thanks - I'll order those parts.

Is this one okay?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-ENC2...c/313091756008
It says it's 10M and 3.3V in the PDF.

I don't suppose you know how to hook up the audio?

Yeah, that part looks good - 3v3 as no 5v to 3v3 converter onboard.

Is the audio header attached on your K1208?
