GeneticSpecies on GameBoy Advanced
YEEEESSS, look at this one :
"Marble-Eyes has recently started cooperation with Danish game developer Entale on porting GS to Game Boy Advance. Armed with sales documents, screenshots and rave reviews, Entale representatives have attended the ECTS 2001 show in London to meet publishers and show them the potential of GS. We are all very excited and looking forward to a possible revival of GS on the GBA console. GS and Amiga lovers out there, thank you for the great support!" Now this is kewl ..... my fav. 3D Shooter on Amiga gets ported to GBA That´s quite surely an argument to buy a GBA at last .... |

Gradius Galaxies underwent a little name change, now it's called Generations
Anyway, this is very strange. How come US and EU release dates are known, but not the JP date? I suppose it will be released JPside first, isn;t it? Would be TOO STRANGE if such a game gets released in the west first. |

I'm not sure about the final name: Generations or Galaxies, so let's say Gradius Advance
It will be out first in America & Europe cause the game IS develloped by the USA division of Konami, that 's all (a bit like Iridion 3D, which has not reach the Japan yet) Check the Konami of America news page ... Quote:

Ohhh shite, that doesn't sound right. Americans doing shmups :P Unlike Iridion, this game was originally conceived in Japan so they better stick with the roots! oh well.
They better pull a corker, or I will smother them with a pillow. |

Yes, you are right, but I hope they will take the best of all !
so we will have great "new" games with: - retro spirit / idea / concept - extended gameplay / graphic / sound we can't call that "retro-gaming", but if the original game spirit is back on my handheld, I'll be happy Do you imagine Turrican 2, SpeedBall, or Xenon 2 on the gba ? grooooovy Quote:
Don't think because it's KCEA and not KCEO (Japan) who are making Gradius that you won't have the original spirit. |

Well, now I have good word that this game is being coded by an entirely new team, formed by people from both Konami and Nintendo. So we won;'t know how they work until the game is finished
The name of the team is Mobile 21, methinks. About all other games, the GBA has been meant to keep the spirit of old games because it cant do proper 2D shit. So they have to go back to the roots. This is great I have started to see SHIT coming out of America though (GBC effect revisited!). Have you seen Men in Black? DISGUSTING! |

Speedball 2

Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe is coming out on the Gameboy Advance. It's being developed by Crawfish Interactive. Cool or what!! I for one can't wait for it to be released. They're also developing Wings and possibly The Chaos Engine 1&2. |

I suppose you are talking about SFA3 steve? Ive seen a video and it looked quite similar (the GBA joypad still SUCKS, its putting me away of buying SFIIXR ). I'll have to try before buy. i would have preferred if Capcom developed the game in-house.
And as I said, the ybetter leave Speedball 2's playability UNTOUCHED.... |
