"Old Gary" - Toshiba version
Hi,
I have an early rev 5 A500 board with a Toshiba Gary, the Motherboard has the factory transistor fix. It's been fully tested using diagrom and Amiga Test Kit and is working apart from RTC clock issue. I recently bought a new 512k memory expansion from Amiga.Kit only to find the RTC was not recognised. When I swapped Toshiba Gary with a spare MOS Gary the RTC is recognised and works. Does anyone know if the RTC issue is one of the bugs in Toshiba Gary or do I have a faulty Toshiba Gary. Thanks |

I believe I've seen a working RTC with a Toshiba GARY, but it's been a while.
IMO you ought to just replace it with a CSG GARY and be happy. :-) |

I guess I was wondering if it was just a bug in Gary and there was a fix for it, or my Gary is faulty

The RTC should work with the Toshiba chip, so yours has failed.
