[Found: Elf (Ocean)] Some fantasy themed amiga game
I recently took look trough lemon amiga to figure out all games I played as a child, but there is one memory I cannot put anywhere. Unfortunately it's so vague I remember the situation I played this game in more than the game itself.
1. Possible name of game No idea unfortunatelly 2. Game genre (General) I _think_ it was scrolling platformer 3. Game genre (Specific) But not simple one. I think there were shops to visit, and it was more exploration based. I remember. It might have had more light RPG elements. Or I might be wrong on all that. 4. Viewpoint I _think_ it was scrolling 2D platformer, like Shadow of the Beast. But it might have not been. 5. General dates I remember finding out about this game and playing it around the time my parents forced me to give up my Amiga 500 to my cousin, since I had A1200 by then. I must have had A1200 for at least few months. Here we know that: * it worked on A500 * I played it after A1200 was released * Was around the time my A500 was lost to worst cousin who burned it day after. With fire. Because he wanted to see how it looks burning. Looking at all circumstances it must have been very late in Amiga life-cycle. It must have been around year 96 or even 97. 6. Commercial status It was probably pirated copy of commercial game. 7. Other specific info It was in English, because I could understand it and it wasn't in my native language. I cannot recall how the character looked, but I think the color palette used a lot of green and brown. I think the game started in some kind of forest or forest-themed area. Unfortunately I cannot remember much. Not any enemies, not how main hero looked like or even the music. There is high possibility that the game screen was split horizontally with top part being gameplay and bottom part being stats and such. I think even up to 1/4th of the screen estate could have been used for the bottom part. I know this is really not much to go by, but I have been thinking about it for few weeks, looked trough every game on lemon amiga and couldn't find a match. Although I might have as well just missed it. Last edited by Areinu; 02 September 2019 at 15:17. |

Besides the games mentioned, the RPG elements and shops made me think of Wonderboy in Monsterland:

It was a busy weekend, I'm pretty sure those are wrong:
* Operation Firestorm * Adventure of Robin Hood * Wonderboy in Mosterland(good shot, but I recall it having more sophisticated graphics) After watching longplays of other games I'm 99.99% convinced it was Elf http://hol.abime.net/2831/screenshot I remember those trees: http://hol.abime.net/pic_full/screen...31_screen7.png And those narration boxes: http://hol.abime.net/pic_full/screen...1_screen21.png And those exact door: http://hol.abime.net/pic_full/screen...1_screen10.png Thanks to all who replied!
