If you need artwork for the keycaps - here is a free set: https://github.com/FeralChild64/MechBoard64-keycaps. Might need some adaptations, and the glyph font is wrong, ITC Avant Garde should be used instead.

I assume the original PET key layout will be considered as well?

Hi kipper,
I read on your site "We even have USB on it but more on that later.". Any plans for an external case for this Cherry MX keyboard? Would be a great combo with the coming Vampire V4 standalone I think, if you get usb going, wouldn't it?. Background: I saw someone posted this on the apollo forum for the V4SA: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/s...ce/coming_soon |

Hi, The MX keyboard will be compatible with the Checkmate external case and also the Amiga external cases . They will be able to be retrofitted in the Amiga cases and will have the original size keycaps and not a PC keyboard with PC sized keys branded as Amiga. All the MX keyboards have USB capability so you can run on PC/Raspberry Pi etc We haven't finished with releases for the MX series, we plan a lot more. |

Any news of a dealer in Europe for keyboards? Import tax, VAT and freight are going to up the price when buying from the US by quite a bit.
I do love the work you put into this and if you ever get around to doing A2K/A4K keyboards I'm definitely a customer (already getting my A1200 case+keys from Philips IndieGogo campaign). |

@ Englyst - Regarding the European sales of the Cherry MX. I understand it is a pain to buy from outside the local country/EU etc. I have asked my brother if he is willing to build these (He lives on the Wirral in the UK) he has indicated he would and i am pressing it further with him. There is a lot of assembly and testing required so it is not a quick job and will take a lot of spare time during the initial order completion phase. |

i done some checking to see if the plcc KB mod interderes with anything else...
Not a lot of room to spare, i did have to do a bit of sanding on the sides of the PLCC socket as there were a couple of components that are close to the socket. For my preference, i will use this PLCC connection rather than the ribbon cable, i think its cleaner looking Last edited by kipper2k; 13 August 2019 at 19:47. |

Thank you for working on these keyboards, kipper2k, they look fantastic.
I also wanted to register my interest in buying one (A1200) from an EU or UK dealer. |

it is on the list, MX Keycaps are not really an issue for us, depending on what size the PET uses it could be as simple as just relabeling the keys with the correct characters. and checking dimensions for the plate/pcb
I will check later this week (prob friday). Do you have a nice hires picture ? |

The Microgramma font is rather striking on these. The original square keycap Microgramma keyboard is absolutely hideous to type on though. :-)

This one (VIC 20) I really like. I also like the C64C font, where graphic symbols are on top of the keyboard, I don’t like the font used originally on breadbin. But I like the breadbin colors
What is the planned shape of the keycaps? Some modern, or 80’s design? |
