Files not seen on real amiga

Hi,

I've set up a micro sd card, with 2 partitions, both 1gb each.
Primary has system files. Secondary has games and programs.
On winuae both partitions can be seen, and accessed fine.
On a real amiga (cdtv with 3.1rom +8mb ram), shows both partitions, but the secondary one shows as empty.

Any ideas?

Simon

How is it connected in CDTV? If via CDTV SCSI adapter: normal disk access has 1G limit (No fixes available). Only workaround is to use filesystem that uses direct scsi like pfs3aio.

Configure exact same winuae config and you should get same behavior.

I'm using a scsi adapter, the scsi to micro sd adapter.
The sd card was set up on the cdtv, not winuae, but all files were copied from hdfs to sd card within winuae.

Ok, it is CDTV SCSI 1G limit (Only first 1G of drive is accessible. Partition sizes are irrelevant). It does not affect partitioning, hdtoolbox sees the whole drive and everything looks correct.

You'll get same behavior if you mount the drive using CDTV config with emulated CDTV SCSI (not UAE) controller. Same also happens with A590/A2091 if boot ROM is older than v7.0. CDTV SCSI driver is based on 6.x A590/A2091 ROM, unfortunately CDTV extended ROM scsi driver was never updated to v7.0.

Only solution is direct scsi capable filesystem.

Is there a way of shrinking partitions without loosing data?
Only about 3% used on P1, and 10% on P2

No, there are no programs that can change partition size on the fly, not even for FFS.

ok - lucky then i made a copy of all the data, so I can then re-copy it back after re-creating the partitions.
