Decrunching files under Windows

Hi guys

I'm asking for something that probably it doesn't exist

To decrunch Amiga files i use the XFD Master library and that's OK

But exist a Windows program which do the same ?

I guess not, but i'm not sure, so here the thread i started

Thanks, chip

Hollywood has an XAD plugin and the plugin is open-source. Feel free to check it out: https://www.hollywood-mal.com/download/XAD_Src.lha

There are numerous tools for Linux and Windows for different packers (LHA, LZX etc.) but remember some filenames in AmigaOS cannot exist on NTFS / FAT32 drives (e.g. names with a * in them)

So, it's like i suspected

No real alternatives under Windows

I'm forced to use Amiga to decrunch files

Well, it's not a problem really

Thanks for the answers

Try this:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=86236

There's a Windows build of the program somewhere in the thread.

Things are moving finally

Temisu (the developer of this decruncher) put in the zone the Windows exe

But it lacks of a dll

Anyway, a new version without the need for external files will be available soon

7-Zip works fine with me for LHA files. The only issue would be the filenames, as AlexH said, but I just go ahead and rename them anyway.

Here we are not talking of the files compressed with zip or lha compressors

We are talking of files (exe or data) crunched with Amiga crunchers, like StoneCracker, for example
