all emulator distros have controller "issue". IMHO it's very hard to get a config that works for several emus/joysticks without plugging in a keyboard every now and then and sometimes poweroff the machine because you can't quit.
for some emulators I got back to Windows... |

I do everything with a ps3 controller. Including quit etc etc.
Using the controller as the mouse pointer in gui wpuld be nice though. |

@ransom1122 sorry for this off-topic rant. An amiga-only / NES-only distro is all right, but when you try to put all emulators in a distro, you cannot get them to work with the same controller, but that's more directed to RetroPie, Recallbox, etc... I tried Happi something same issue. Most conflicts come from difference of controls between lr-* emulators and the others (MAME, UAE).
Also, if you configure for one controller, you cannot really change the controller without reconfiguring. Too bad that the distro doesn't recognize the joystick and assign at least start+select+hotkey properly. Not standardized enough. not to mention: if you want to use a real amiga joystick, you cannot: not enough buttons. |

Yes true. This is why i only have one amiga image on an sdcard. On a separate card i have all the other emulators

yes! the good thing about Raspberry is that you can swap SDcard like you're swapping floppies on the miggy

YOu can, if you have a humongous controller with zillions of buttons (ie a keyboard, haha)

Hey,
Long time lurker, first post. Huge thanks to everyone contributing to these projects! Horace, Sorry to be a n00b, but please could you briefly explain how you install the dev branch of Amiberry on retropie? (I've got as far as this page, but am a bit stuck from here - https://github.com/midwan/amiberry/tree/dev) I'm also trying to enable the option to exit Amiberry back to EmulationStation using an Xbox 360 controller button shortcut, rather than having to use a keyboard. Thanks! |

Any way to map controls in keyboard on amiberry?. Im using amibian and at the moment using the keyboard, but would like to redefine some keys in order to put the cd32 pad buttons for example. At the moment, the fire button on the standard joystick is set to alt, and i would like some other. Anyone got it working?
