But now it seems to be gone forever Damn, my favorite. Listen to it almost every day at work. Sad. What shall I do now? Fortunately Battlenet still runs the old classic player ( http://classic.battle.net/window.shtml ) but you get bored pretty quick with that one since it is only based on Blizzard classic games. Nectarine demoscene radio had so much more variation.

Try BitJam on bitfellas.org, it's sort of like Nectarine.

WTF, is Arab pulling the plug or prank hacker? Who is "me" in the context of "Don't mail me" at https://www.scenemusic.net/ ?
EDIT: Yes, seems to be Arab doing this: Quote:
Kind of sad thinking about all those who contributed to the site, eg. FishGuy876 and BombmanDK who coded the demovibes engine for the website, all the active musicians, and uploaders. Last edited by modrobert; 18 June 2018 at 11:13. Reason: Added link to pouet.net. |

From reading the pouet thread, it seems like the problem was that songs could only be inactivated in the database and not completely deleted; probably would require some large code refactoring or reindexing to make that all work.
Also, add this to the fact that anyone with an account could upload any songs (commercial or otherwise), I think arab may just be trying to dodge a legal bullet. |

Anyone got any contact details for Arab? I would like to discuss buying the nectarine site and associated resources and working on fixing any issues which lead to the site being taken down and any other user feedback.

Oh, this is wonderful https://scenestream.net/demovibes/streams/
I had to spend a lot of time to edit all of my docks (there are a lot) to delete Nectarine from my Radio Stations, a lot. But I will change them all again for the next AKReal update so it will work again |

This is truly excellent news. I wonder if the scrapes and lifting and shifting has any legal implications? From what I understand many people built Necta and even more people contributed so I assume Arab can't lawyer up?
Also a month or more in, is the new regime being loyal to the community or is it more of meet the new boss, same as the old boss? |
