All the reviews and most of the articles are done - we just need some time to finish it off and put it together...

It's going to rock big time. Fact.
I'm extremely excited by it all too, and eagerly anticipate seeing the end result of the hard work myself and the rest of the team have put in. We're striving to make the magazine as good as we possibly can, so rest assured the wait will be worth it. While producing the magazine has involved plenty of graft, it has also been a lot of fun. I feel sure that this will shine through, along with the great affection and respect the team has for the subject matter. Also looking forward to getting lots of interesting feedback from readers, something that can only help make subsequent issues rock even more. |

Issue 1 is at a very advanced stage. There is a lot of great content in place. A lot of the time taken has been on 'quality control', if you like, with content already produced being reworked and polished up to the highest standard.
We are looking to expand the team in readiness for Issue 2. I will make a public post with more detail shortly. |

Same question, same answer I'm afraid: it is still being worked on. It has moved forward since the last report, but it is not 100% yet.
Not the most satisfactory answer, I know, but that's where it's at. A considerable factor in the long production time has been the very fact that it is the first edition: from general conceptual material, we have had to actualise the exact look and feel of the magazine and organise its structure, before creating the finished editorial content. We have also had to establish working practices from scratch, and deal with a lot of changes in staff since the project was started. Good news time: the next issue won't take anywhere near as long to make. |

I totally understand,
since it’s the first release, layouts and schemes etc will have to be designed from scratch, and as you say, future releases wont take as long, basically because you will have a something to work from i.e. a template so to speak which will save a great deal of production time. It’s the small things which take the time though, its better to have a good ting as apposed to a rushed okay thing. Take your time guys, cos I know it’ll be worth it. Need any help? Don’t hesitate to ask though! Last edited by BobRedthorp; 13 September 2003 at 16:23. |

That's cool, I'm handling the comics article. Many thanks for the offer of support; it is appreciated.
Graphics, you say? Excellent. We need some original work, as it happens. Please see this thread: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11241 |
