I am unpack the adf Image from the Solid Gold CD to a Disk on my real amiga, but it is booting only to the developers Screen with the owl. Then it hangs... Does it only work under WinUAE?

Yup, works fine here in WinUAE using a standard "A500 - 1.3 KS ROM, OCS, 512KB Chip & 512KB Slow RAM" configuration.
Also tested using an A1200 configuration and good as well ![]() Given what I know about your setup; you're probably trying to run on an A1200 / WB 3.5 or 3.9? Maybe it just won't work on that; I'd say classic AmigaOS only but could be wrong as I haven't tried... |

...but hold on; if you are booting the .ADF (written to real floppy disk) then it shouldn't matter what OS you have installed on your hard drive.
Are you sure the copy / transfer went ok? From what I've read I think this game is "track loaded". Unless of course, you have some sort of custom ROM in your real Amiga? |

Well, if you have to ask me that question then I'd say the chances of you installing a custom ROM in your real Amiga are very slim...
Was just a suggestion on my part; nothing else to offer you... Sorry. |

In case of technical Information and "Amiga inside" i learn all about it from TheoTheoderich, who lives near of me. But my english could do far better. And my catastrophe english in combination with tech specifics makes me unhappy. Whatever....

Okay, i want to spend money for the guy, who creates an installer or patch the game... In other case it is a bad joke (Solid Gold) for Real Amiga users. Life sucks

Make a directory on your hard drive called "SolidGold", copy the file from the archive in the zone into it, and copy your diskimage of SolidGold into the same directory, make sure its called "solidgold.adf", and then simply CD into SolidGold directory and type "SolidGoldBeta" and hit Return and tell me if that works for you. |

And OS 3.9 isn't the best environment for A500 games too.

The game is meant to work with all classic Amiga configurations. If it doesn't, then it is a bug and it was my fault.
From my experience with Sqrxz4-testing I remember a special Blizzard 68060 configuration which didn't boot until I had set up the caches and basic transparent translation tables for the MMU. This code is missing in Solid Gold. Maybe you have such a configuration? @NeoHippie2016: You can also drop me an email in german. Maybe we find the problem. |

@phx: i send you later a mail or pm through eab. The Original Disk and the adf Image (unpacked on Disk) freezes at the "night owl design" Logo. I deactivated with pressing "2" my Blizzard, also tried it without startup Sequence. It freezes at the Logo again....

I mean the adf Image from the Original Solid Gold CD. I remember, that the installed WHDL Version is the previous Release of the game, or? I read about it.

Yes, the boxed release has an extra level at the end and one or two minor bug fixes (but nothing compatibility-related).
Do you have an 68060 Blizzard? |
