GFA Basic compiler

I have s strange problem with the GFA compiler: if I start the menu (MenuX) of the compiler via cli and choose the current path before everything works fine. If I start it via the workbench the MenuX does not find the compiler and linker. It seems it does not recognize the current path via the workbench. I tried this on the emaulator and on a real Amiga, with 3.51 and 3.52, on a disk (even booting from it) and from hd but never it worked; only if you choose current path and start it via the hell.Any idea ?Many thanks in advance.

Try writing a small shell-script that CDs to the correct path and runs the program, then add a Project icon for the script and use f.ex. IconX as the default tool.

Script

This could work, I may try but I still would have the problem if used via floppy. My question is, does no one hav this problem, too. As I have it on real hardware and emulation ? Also I ask (as I am curious) what the problem might be?Looking Forward to any further comments.

GFA Basic compiler

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has an adf of GFA basic compiler, picture of the disk http://www.amigafuture.de/album_page.php?pic_id=21963

It was available for sale in the UK around 1990-1992 for £24.95, if I remember rightly GFA v3.5 interpreter was about £39.95. I have the interpreter (version 3.5) but would very much like the compiler to complete my collection and help with my endless tinkering.

Many thanks!
Winston

No GFA compiler there only the interpretor

Thanks but I can't see the actual compiler amongst those files only the interpreter. So if anyone else can help I'd appreciate it very much.

"GFA-BASIC v3.52 (1990)(GFA Systemtechnik)(DE)(Disk 2 of 2).zip"
has the compiler, MenuX.
the disk has a problem with some bad block, you can just "cancel" them away, menux starts.
maybe other parts of the disk affected. not sure here.

I stand corrected the compiler is there as you say it is. It's the German version, so time to brush up on some German .
