Connect an Amiga Monitor (23 pin RGB) to a computer with VGA port

Hi all,

If I want to use my Amiga monitor (23 pin RGB):

with a VGA output computer:

which adapter do I need? is there somewhere I can order one?

I've found this one: http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...roducts_id=577, is it what I'm looking for? will it work perfectly when using 15Khz, 24Khz and 31 Khz?

Thank you

That adaptor would work from a pinout point of view.

But depending on the model monitor you have it wont work at 24Khz or 31Khz.
The 1084 and 1085 will only do 15.7Khz.
The 1940 and 1942 will do 15.7Khz and 31Khz.

Thank you kgc210, my monitor is a M1438S (Microvitec) and, as far as I know, it supports 15Khz, 24Khz and 31Khz.

There can't be too many manufacturers of that adapter. I think mine was branded Micronik, makers of all those tower chassis.

What are you planning on running at 24Khz?
Some Neo Geo stuff or a JAMMA board?

I'm going to use it with my Sharp x68000, which I use currently in a NEC MultiSync TFT with a "Japanese RGB-15" to VGA adapter (as I don't have the original cable), and I want to replace this TFT with the Amiga M1438S.

Nice I wouldn't mind an x68000 but finding one at a good price is hard.

Finally I've managed to get a direct x68000 rgb15 --> m1438s rgb23 adapter. The x68000 looks awesome on this monitor

Thank you anyway guys!
