winUAE, winUAEloader & Hyperspin ?
So does this actually work together if i dont want to use the default keymapping ?
i have tried for several weeks now. |

i can get the winUAE & the winUAEloader to work just fine together, but when i try loading from the frontend hyperspin, its back to default keymapping. if anyone is wondering

Check winuaebootlog.txt after running winuae from hyperspin, it will list all command line parameters used to start winuae. It may help to find out the problem.

More or less off-topic, but make sure you check your cpu usage during emulation when using Hyperspin.
The Hyperspin menu is a real cpu hog and does not reduce it's own cpu usage when the emulator is running. Instead, the menu continues to use a ton of cpu power playing animations and eye candy while it is in the background. I guess if you have a really fast machine that can handle this, this might not matter to you. But for me it was a dealbreaker. Emulators that worked fine without Hyperspin suddenly started to studder and lag when I was using Hyperspin. On my quest for an alternative launcher I found Attract Mode. Compared to Hyperspin, it is extremely bare-bones but uses negligible CPU. I have no clue how to make WinUAE work on either. |
