CF-Card Insulation Needed?
Just wondering if I need to insulate the CF-Card Adapter with some kind of tape over the Hard Drive cradle? although there appears to be some kind of the insulation over the circuit board on the Adapter beneath it.
The inserted memory card itself does eventually move down far enough and touch the Hard Drive cradle. Thoughts? |

I'd leave the cradle out and not worry about it after that. The sensitive parts are on the adapter next to the ribbon cable.

I have a similar set up - I have two pieces of plastic stuck to my hard disk caddy that make a small sleeve to put the CF adapter in (to stop the HD light on the adapter itself from being visible as it's obnoxious) and to protect it from being accidentally damaged.
