Screenmode, Colour Depth, and Wallpaper.
Howdy.
Can anyone give me any advice for setting up wallpaper? if i have a wallpaper with 16 colours, and a screenmode with 32 colours, the wallpaper palette still looks awful, any helps and tips with squeezing at many colours from a desktop image? i mean, how many colours does WB3.1 actually need? Don't know if i have explained this properly, but i am sure you know what i am on about. thanks in advance. |

The problem is the palette is shared. So what comes first takes the pens first. For later palette accesses there might be not enough free pens left. There is an option icon or image quality where this behaviour can be changed a bit.
Alternative you can lock single pens of a palette with e.g. FullPalette. So you could lock all the pens used by your backdrop image what gives the best result. This might not be an option if you switch often the image with different color palette. Last edited by daxb; 04 February 2019 at 12:25. |
