GOG.com finally fixed hardware acceleration problems with Dungeon Keeper 2
This was a problem for many people since years now, there were speed issues in the main menu, for some the game didn't work at all, for some the in-game graphics glitched with HA turned on making the game unplayable, and for most people the game crashed often.
Some time ago a MiXED scene release with an unofficial patch 1.8 went out that claimed to fix some things, but not HA nor the menu slugginess, and it still crashed from time to time. Now it's *FINALLY* a thing of the past, we can enjoy DK2 again on modern hardware. http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dungeon_keeper_2 Last edited by Shoonay; 13 July 2012 at 12:31. |

Dungeon Keeper for FREE + Dungeon Keeper 2 for $1.49 on GOG
I think it's a great opportunity to remind everyone that Dungeon Keeper 2 still works great on modern computers thanks to the GOG patch Last edited by Shoonay; 14 February 2014 at 13:14. |

I am pretty sure this is the one i tried a while ago and on my rig you couldn't play for longer than 15 mins. Has there been a new release?
Dungeon Keeper 2 was my favourite PC game back in the day |

Depends how long ago you tried it.
It was first released as a separate patch and you had to apply to your installation (doesn't matter if it's not from GOG as long it's patched to 1.7/1.8), but it's pre-installed in the setup file since November 2012. Re-download your game from GOG and check it out. |

This has to be my favourite game, ever, Dungeon Keeper 2. I still have my original disc but purchased this from GOG anyway.
