Future Wars and Saving
Hi there.
So... I have ventured and found a working version of FW but now have run into a problem. The save games. I have tried formatting an empty adf for saving and whenever I try to access the disk while running the game it says it is not valid and then I can't exit the screen so I have to crash the emu. Not good. Can someone shed a little light on the subject of what might be going on and can it (or me) be fixed? Thanks |

ok so I did that
But here is my prob. I had found that disk before and I get the same thing now that I did then.
Whenever I put the disk in the drive the game says please insert a formatted diskette. It won't let me out of that screen and won't recognize any disk I put in. Please help, anyone. |

I know, I had to do a double-take when I first saw this, too! |

I remember this was really annoying.
The whdload version saves perfectly, though (I had a tough time making it work IIRC) |

I can't get the WHDLoad version to work at all. I just get a black screen with a large cursor and it doesn't progress.

can you zip your FW whdload installation in the zone? I'll have a look at it.

I use Amiga Explorer which regularly errors out, so zipping isn't easy, but I think I got it working with WHDLoad. See bug tracker here: http://mantis.whdload.de/view.php?id=3306
