Thanks Oliver! BRILLIANT! Two dead ACA batteries! I should have checked the T&D!
BTW, I see what you mean with Post Image URLs. I'm sure you'll figure it out! Thanks again Oliver!!! Also, Thanks for the heads up on the 060 CPU Command! I have a Rev 5 CPU. Last edited by Amiga4000; 26 May 2022 at 22:33. |

Works fine here on 4.1FE - have been using it a lot the past few days to compare debug with what I was seeing on a real 68060 . I notice that your crashlog refers to IBrowse 2.5.5 though. Did you try with 2.5.6? I wouldn't advise using the OS4 version and then the 68K version in the same session, without rebooting in between. Of course, I generally wouldn't advise running the 68K version on OS4, as the PPC version will be much better.

Did 2.5.5? Nothing should have changed between then and now to alter this.

Or are you saying the IBrowse installer seems to run fine, but IBrowse crashes when trying to run the installed version? Yet, if you use the 3.2 Installer instead, IBrowse then doesn't crash? |

@nogginthenog
If Time and Date are correct it may be that during setup you did not copy all the "Certs" Copy all the "Certs" you find in the AmiSSL Archive by hand, overwriting the old ones present in your system |

I own a 68060 Rev,5 indeed. I'll apply the startup-sequence patch, thanks for quickly finding the cause of the issue. |

In hindsight, I should have tested the release version properly on my A1200/060 - I'm sure I did when I first got the Brotli code working, but that would have been before I had tweaked things. Lesson learnt |

This should never be required though - the installer takes care of this. Always use the installers and never install by hand.

I've yet to see any other complaints regarding the installer. I can't be responsible for AROS or WinUAE being incompatible to AmigaOS for whatever reason. It sounds like a more fundamental issue to me - perhaps configuration related? Perhaps if you insert Code:

If you try to rename the "Certs" folder you will get an error similar to user nogginthenog, see screenshot: Quote:

Certificate validation results were completely and silently ignored in IBrowse 2.4. For IBrowse 2.5, I added the requester for validation failures, which you should find in most other browsers too in one form or another. It will show up for many other possible reasons too. As for the installer error, you must have made a mistake. If I were to guess, it is perhaps the querydisplay line that is triggering WinUAE to crash - you could try deleting that line completely. That said, if Installer 43.3 crashes too, it must be something else. |

Forgive me fault of my 68 years, yes I meant to say user "Amiga4000"
On the Install-IBrowse I added the line you described, maybe I got the wrong place? As said only on OS3.9 and using Installer 43.3 causes the Crash on WinUAE. If I replace the installer on OS 3.9 with that of OS 3.1.4/3.2 everything works normally, this makes me think of an incompatibility on the script. As said I should try on other PC, on real Amiga I can't, I haven't used them for 30 years, I have almost all of them from A4000/060 to A1200, A600, A500, A500Plus, CD32 with SX32 Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 28 May 2022 at 01:18. |

Can you try the attached install script instead? This will display a number before each step right up to the welcome page is shown, so if you can let me know the last number shown before WinUAE crashes, we should know where it is crashing at least. |

Arcane revealed
Discovered the crash on WinUAE, basically the Crash happens only if iBrowser installation is done from a Windows folder attached on WinUAE. It is solved by first copying the iBrowser folder to HardFile, done this the installer works perfectly. What is very strange is that with the Instraller of OS 3.1.4/3.2/3.2.1 this does not happen I tested your install-ib-debug, it starts with a numbering and at number 17 WinUAE crashes |

I have a silly question but is there meant to be a [1] beside IBrowse on the title bar?

It is, it means you are looking at the first tab (or Browser in iBrowse parlance). Go to the project menu and choose New Browser and you'll see what I mean.

:-) I've been a part of the 68060 club since 1999 I think. Though, back then it was Rev 5. Been using V6 for some years now..so I can see why it went smooth. I dig the club a lot, except for some WHDLoad installs, or just 'normal' programs and games. Moreover, I was just informing Futaura..of another success. I was wondering about to Time/Date as well. Sometimes I catch that my A4000's has lagged behind some. |
