Playing Elite Dangerous - not sure why... just doing missions, some mining... collecting money that I am mostly not using on anything new... I did start Witcher III... but just went through tutorial and start of the game. |

Well ME 3 is now done !
I thought the 'Survive' and 'Green' endings would not be available as my EMS was only 3538 but I got them all ! As for Andromeda --- I could not manage Green Eyes ??? I made do with Amber Seems a bit Stuttery, will have to reduce some settings or possibly update the GPU driver (still using the one from the 560). |

Well let's see, I just played the "oh why did it get made" remaster/pc port of the games Zelda: Wand of Gamelon and Link: Faces of Evil. The crazy part is the port has an option that changes some of the most annoying gameplay elements and makes the games playable. Stuff like picking up money and items just by passing them, faster movement speed, unlimited lives, stuff like that. It was a rather fascinating 3 hours to play both and beat them. And there's an added hero mode difficulty that unlocks the king as a playable character, who just punches things.

A few hours deep into Cyberpunk. Not sure what to say. There is some annoying stuff, glimpses of greatness and a lot to take in. Need to go back and play some more...
One thing is sure though: ray tracing slaughters framerates even in 1080p on my rather powerful rig (Ryzen 5600x + RTX 3070). Ouch. |

Purchased a few games off Steam in the sale. Firstly Heavy Rain - wow!
Was addicted to this until I completed it, then played the last chapter for a few alternative endings. Ok, ok, less of a game, more of an interactive movie with timing sequences, but when it is done this well, I don't care. I remember seeing this when it was first released for the PS3 and was wowed - was unaware it had a PC release in 2019. Anyone who loves good story telling - buy it! Purchased Contradiction too, not bad little FMV adventure game by Tim Follin legendary composer! Could have been better but storyline and acting as a whole was ok. Worth the cheap price, just the general back and forth and asking questions grew tiresome and not much adventuring Found time to play / re-play Gabriel Knight - Sins of the Father (20th Anniversary Edition) this edition got some mixed reviews, but enjoyed it and again, kept coming back until I completed it. Had to consult a walkthrough a couple of times which annoyed me, but such a great game Then had to move on to Gabriel Knight - The Beast Within maybe the greatest FMV game ever, storyline is fantastic (better than Sins of the Father imho) and Van Glower is one hell of a character. Played it ages ago so forgot the solutions and like most adventure games you do find yourself stuck at times (that damn cuckoo clock puzzle for instance) but I can forgive it as it so damn good. Defo between this and the FMV Tex Murphy games for my faves. Can pick this up for around £3 on Steam, well worth it. Actually never played Gabriel Knight 3, the graphic style just puts me off, these games which (at the time) followed the trend to look up to date and current now have dated the worst in looks. I probably will give it a blast however |

I have not done much gaming in past week... hope to play some games over holidays tho.
Started with Witcher 3, learning the game and how to play. On ED just logging every day to claim ARX or what that in game currency used for decorations is called. Not sure why I am doing that, since I don't play in open... just strange... |

Playing online Kick Off 2 (have a look at https://kickoff2.net/)
Really impressive what they have done / stats / options Would be good to see some more average players (like me) to go up against as the top guys on there are really good and know all the tricks and what to exploit. So if anyone fancies a game - bring it on |

Just encountered the No Helmets on on Kadara Bug (Andromeda).
Previously, I was supposed to talk to Jaal but could not (reload). The Pot Heads (SOS) were supposed to give me some weed for the sick Turian (Broken Family/Running a Fever) but did not. I mis-timed a jump in the Elaaden Vault --- when I was reset, the Nomad was there too ! Luckily I was still able to Fast Travel to the nearest Pod. Since I was looking to play this, and it was part of Humble Bundle Choice this month, I finally got to try Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. It is not your regular game, rather evolution simulator with survival challenges. I really like it, and while i have not move far from beginning of game, whole experience is overwhelming. Kind of reminds me if you've read Space Odyssey 2001 book, the beginning of the book and discovery of very first weapons and use for protection and later for attacks to secure water source. So far I like it. Other games I played over past 2-3 weeks:

"opening doors on Kadara"
Absolutely true = 4 - 5 seconds 'No Helmets' + 'Pot Heads' are well documented (on the Net) Played the 'Moon and Star' Mod on Skyrim: Very nice, only problem was the Voice Level of the Boy and Nerevarine was a bit drowned out by Dwemer machinery. Last edited by Nobby_UK; 08 January 2021 at 17:00. |
