No, I did not... because I wanted to wait for feedback. Last time this happened "automatically" with some other stuff, I think it was the other X-Copy releases in 2009 or 2010.
Anyway, needs to be updated. We don't want to store some 50% thing. I guess I'll lha the original folder as is to document what was on the master and then put phx/acd2001 changes into the "tree". Maybe phx or acd2011 can supply me with a complete folder to put into the adf, so everything is in place. |

I agree. There should be no haste. The source is nearly 20 years old.

For the keymap I used the hex-codes $22, $27 and $5c instead, to avoid problems with any assembler. The checksum calculation in the program didn't work. There should be no reason to include precalculated checksums. I fixed the responsible code. Updated source archive attached. |

Ok guys, thanks, will update the archive, give proper credit, and exchange. After that, will submit another post here.
After that please feel free to put it up on Aminet so it gets preserved for the community to use and enjoy. |

Was a final source code version ever confirmed to be completely 100% usable? I can't seem to find it on Aminet, so I guess not...?
Just curious, as I have had the .zips for over a year now and am in the middle of a cleanup (mostly Amiga and C64 files). |

There was really no need for a PC version. They made one anyway.
It can copy plain DOS disks. That's it. |

Code:
The intention of this release is document the development process of the software. This software is released as is, without any guarantees or warranties. You are welcome to enhance it or develop further versions, just keep it free (don't sell it) and release your source as well. It would be nice to actually place it under a license that does codify this intent legally (GPLv2 or v3 are common licenses with a source code under same license requirement if binaries are offered that's strong enough to prevent commercial exploitation in practice). |

Why? That's as clear as it could be. Don't sell, provide the source. It doesn't take a lawyer to express your will. |

SuperAmiCard was far superior to Cyclone imho in terms of stuff it would copy. I got a wiring diagram to make one if anyone wants it. You will need the SuperAmiCard software to go with it which I also have.

Cyclone was just a direct "double deck" flux copier. Similar to reading/writing blindly with KF or GW. :-) |

Copyright law is complex, and licenses are written with it in mind, by people who understand law. This is just how it is, and I do not like it either, but anything else than a well-known license is considered a minefield. Most people won't go anywhere near it, including myself, because it is simply not worth the risks and trouble. Given the relationship between Amiga and legal drama, I can't blame anybody for being paranoid. |

SuperAmiCard was a hardware copier like cyclone, cyclone was probably the most basic hardware copier out of all the hardware copiers, and X-copy was pretty basic couldn't really copy anything.
But I meant something like Cyclone to copy Ipfs back to disk on Amiga a bit like powercopy with the hardware, but probably not many people using floppys now days. 2011 post |

No IC's at all, just 2x 23 way D connectors and alot of soldering. A friend made me the SuperAmiCard hardware a while ago. You can find out how to build it on one off the LSD Doc Disks which features the wiring diagram. SuperAmiCard software you will find on Insanity Tools Disk. If anyone want it uploaded to the zone then let us know.
