Don't take my IDE report at face value yet, I think I might have messed something up. I am going to check it again tonight after work.
I need to find a 50 Mhz crystal too. Will 60 do? I guess that might be too fast. A couple of pics attached for the curious. |

I’m using a weird 35.128mhz crystal at the moment. Rather odd but I got a lot of them v cheap.
60mhz may work but it will push the RAM too fast. Will produce a 1WS ram firmware into the bundle. Don’t expect more than 1WS will be required. |

@hooleydog
TF534 is in prototype phase, only for betatesters atm.. Or You cat try to ask Clad, he has seen someone is selling them on Ebay... @Stephen & alenppc sorry guy's, wasn't able to test new FW sooner - was really buzzy.. well.. latest Alpha FW (from 10.10.18) seems to be messed up - ide isn't working for me at all. both ALPHA & ALPHA2 from 10.07.18 are working fine ide included on A500, doesn't work on A2000 - hangs in reset loop haven't tried higher frequency yet - can try to swap oscillator to 50Mhz - still have them here Update Card is not happy with 40Mhz oscillator - not working Last edited by 8 Bit Dreams; 11 October 2018 at 22:05. |

will be very appreciated, will test if something new comes up @ weekend.
For now i'm on FW10.07 Alpha2 and 24Mhz - no issues, no glitches on A500, WHDload works.. i am still thinking about differences between E Clock @ A500 & A2000, i do understand what You said about it, but maybe something acts as a delay for it, and CIAs getting confused, hence it hangs in reboot cycle? It may be also the IDE issue, or ram isn't happy.. Does this firmware has waitestates? On A2000 it acts as follows: it reboots, then actually IDE activity should start, but i doesn't happend - then it just reboots, and this happens in loop.. |

A reboot loop usually indicates a ram issue. I recommend wiping the RAM CPLD to verify this. Finally if the Gayle emulation is telling the Amiga there is a card device present then that could cause a hang while the amiga waits for the PCMCIA card to respond. Seen this before but the testsuite says this isnt happening. I've dismantled my LA to reverse engineer the NIC card so others can have that functionality.. it will be open source. Needs put back together before it can be used for testing. |

The only board that was shared and not built was one I gave Mark (supaduper). He's perfectly entitled to sell it but anyone building it will get zero support from me. |

About 4MB TF530 - this is possible, see older posts in this thread, however this needs a special firmware, will not work without Last edited by 8 Bit Dreams; 11 October 2018 at 23:58. |

I also have a line on whats going on on the TF534. It seems that the machine is locking up during some kind of DMA cycle. Its tough to know exactly what address its accessing but I think its address 0x000934 (I consistently see that on the scope but it could be the conflation of 2 addresses). I didnt have a lot of time with the LA to examine things deeper but it looks like I may have screwed something with the BG/BGACK signals. Does the A2000 use these for floppy? I've never seen them asserted on the A500 (and that would explain why the A500 works and the A2000 is not working). Maybe @Toni Willen has seen something like this. On my Kick 3.1 ROM it sits spinning at @0xF81476 until DMA kicks in then it gets stuck with no CPU control lines asserted at 0x000934. More tomorrow. I suspect its the bus arb. |

Ok, I can confirm now the IDE is not working. Same behaviour as described by Stephen: blinking led and then lockup
