OffTopic:Going off topic but does anyone think AmiPcEngine would realy have been possible? Last edited by Retro1234; 12 November 2008 at 15:12. |

Actually, AmiGameBoy runs pretty well (read: fast) on 68030. I used it on my 1230 quite a lot years ago (1997/1998).

I think it must be my expansion card ive tried it many times. Changeing the caches makes a difference ive also tried many degraders. The starange thing is after many tries it will work and continue to work after soft reset untill the machine is switched off? Last edited by Retro1234; 20 December 2008 at 19:39. |

I don't think we're likely to see either a disk image or beta release for this project ever. I would like to get my hands on a KickTOS disk as much as anyone, but there are two obstacles to this ATM: First, a disk image is out of the question because KickTOS contains copyrighted Commodore Kickstart code. Therefore any release can only be in the form of a patch to overwrite a legal Kickstart disk. Hit has already been in touch with the author to request just such a patch, but has so far received no response, as he explains above. And second, Ratte seems very reluctant to share this with anyone while it's still in development, so I think we're going to have to wait until all the kinks are ironed out. Meanwhile, just keep up with the latest discussion on the project at the Amiga 1000 board thread here: http://www.a1k.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13014 |

KickTOS includes copyrighted material.
But there is no Kickstart/Commodore/Amiga code inside ... there is Atari copyrighted material inside. I´ll release a kind of "selfmade-kit" without atari-code someday. And someday means someday ... btw. still found no time to join "The (Twilight) Zone" ... Code:

prowler P.S. Are you sure about the restricted redistribution status of the Atari code? I thought that everything had been released into the public domain. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong .) [Edit] Is that really all there is? Last edited by prowler; 25 December 2008 at 08:49. |
