ROM configuration A2090a / A2630

Hello all,

I am trying to emulate my A2000 with several additional boards. But I am struggling with the A2090a boot ROMs. That card has three ROMs, one for the Z80 ST-506 controller and two autoboot ROMs. But in the configuration window I can only select one ROM file and with only one ROM the Amiga shows the red ROM error screen.

I tried several things like add a second file separated with comma and even fumbled with the configuration file trying many different things. I configured the hard files and the emulated Amiga boots from DF0: to Workbench 1.3 on DH0: but direct boot off HD0: does not work.

Same for A2030 card, if I configure it and start the virtual machine I get a requester that it needs the A2630 ROMs although the ROM files are there.

Would be nice if anybody can tell me how I configure cards with two (or more) ROMs.

Z80 ROM is not needed (ST-506 is emulated in higher level, CPU is not needed).

Split rom images: a) have rom images in rom path and use Paths panel ROM scanner to detect them. After it has been detected (if it is known), it will appear in ROM dropdown menu. b) merge the split rom manually first.

Did both already without success.

But in the meantime I got a solution: the ROM files need the .rom extension.
Now it works, thanks alot.

Yes, only bin or rom (and few others) extensions are detected. Some users stored other random files in rom path and didn't like it when rom scan scanned them, taking long time to finish
