Ever regret selling Amiga stuff?
Miss my 2000 from a few years ago
6.2 mainboard (had a few repairs (Agnus, CPU socket replacements)) A2630 accelerator A2320 display enhancer Some C= Zorro HD controller (can't remember which one) Sony Trinitron E250 (was NOS) I can't remember how much all this cost in 2012.. probably way more now. Maybe start again with a 3000 |

Nice rig. If it was just a few years ago, why did you get rid of it? Would imagine someone owning an Amiga in 2018 would be in it for life :-)
Actually, I'm in quite the opposite situation. Could never let go of my beloved Amiga 500 which is still in excellent condition. And when all my friends wanted to ditch their Amigas 25 years ago, I "took them in" along with all the accessories (joysticks, hundreds of disks, adapters etc.) Couldn't bear them ending up in a dumpster. Still have them in my basement, and your post made me think that it might be time to pass them on to someone who would actually use them (will keep my own 1989 era-Amiga, of course). |

I regret my grandmother selling my A500+, A1200 and CD32 without telling me.
Needless to say I haven't spoken to her in 18 years. |

20+ years ago, I sold a high-density amiga external drive. I don't know why. But for other HW I had such a hard time getting a A1200 that I never sold anything.
I almost sold my A1200 Tower at some point, but instead I tore it off and put the motherboard + 060 in a A1200 case for a desktop gaming machine (also less issues than with the tower). Still have the Tower + Ateo bus + board that I'm not using. I think there are issues with it, but it kind of works. |

Loads of regrets, bar non Amiga stuff like boxed Gameboys, etc
Original display posters from the software houses, other promotional merchandise, sold boxes (and I mean BOXES!) of Amiga disks - decided to get rid of them all and just keep my boxed games. Sold them for a song on Ebay - even delivered them locally! Later on I discovered I included a load of cover disks as well which I wanted to keep! Most annoying is when you lend stuff out and it is never returned (Grrrrr!) I suppose that is out of your hands in some way - still bloody annoying though - stop being so trusting! |

1999 I swapped out the A3000D that I think was used to develop Birds of Prey at Argonaut. It had been given to me the year before during a clear out. It was a 2+4MB 25MHz model with KS1.4 and a Video Toaster 2000. I swapped it for a 2+16MB A4000D/40 with a Picasso IV. Felt like a damn good deal at the time. I was never going to use the VT and I wanted AGA. A3000s are just so much more well built than A4000s

Yup.... my A530 packed up in the late 90's, sold all other Amiga stuff by 2000. Then around 12 years ago, picked up a massive haul of Amigas (500/600/1200/2000's) and gear for around $30NZD - always had the intention of fixing up, but child came along instead so sold off. Regret it every day

Oh, man...
I'd almost be willing to commit murder to have my two A1200s back. One with 8mb Fast RAM and FPU, the other with my Blizzard MKIV with FPU and 16mb. Even more annoying now that my last remaining A1200 recently suffered a fatal aneurysm. On top of that, there's my N64, Playstation, Saturn, Megadrive, SNES etc... *sigh* At least, I've still got a few A600s along with my 3D0 and Jaguar. I don't suppose anybody would want to actually buy them, though... B Last edited by Old_Bob; 29 October 2020 at 00:26. |

I would love an A3000D in New Zealand the 25mhz would be best but would settle for the 16mhz.

That does sound like a good deal though, too bad it didn't get netscape navigator to help carry it into the internet age. I used Ibrowse but compared to netscape navigator... Mind you Mozilla had a bigger development team Quote:

I regret leaving my A500 behind when I left my ex. Had loads of boxed games too, there's a pic of a young me somewhere with them. I now own 2 off 500, 3 off 1200, a 600 and a 500 plus which I've since bought. Haha.

Read the offer closely. It does not say that I have to keep that PC...
I already have a gaming PC, so now that I gave him my 500USD worth of Amigas I can flog the one he gives me, let's say for 2000USD, rebuy my Amiga stuff and have 1500USD profit to spend on more retro gear. What's not to like? |
