Tried RygarEAB06 AGA.adf on my A1200 060 and A4000 060 and it gets past the title screen but hangs right when the sprite is supposed to show up. No character on screens. Is it because I am using an 060?

Using RygarEAB0B.adf version, (in game says 0.11).
Whilst crouching I can not turn, I have to stand briefly then turn then crouch. I also think the 'henchmen' collision is a bit too far away, the baby rhino's are spot on in comparison. Hope this helps. Using an A1200 config in WinUAE, remapped keys. |

I can't replicate this in Emulation. Could you tell me exactly what you have?

Not sure what is involved in providing a WHDinstall but let me know if you need a hand, I can provide a very quick switch where it will read files from the hard disk using Amiga DOS - it might speed things up.
But then I can't use that while the system is down to read the map/round data. Geezer |

Some people might be interested in this but I was asked to do a little Q&A about my time with the Amiga by 4Play which has been published here....
https://www.amigalife.org/index.php?topic=111 In other news I have Dragon Rider (the dude that hangs from the dragons) about half done now.... it is very tricky! Geezer |

Great to get your back story, amazing how much you've achieved in such a short a time since returning to the Amiga

I'm sorry guys but I still don't see the reason for the WHDLoad version. This is an AmigaDOS game, the source code is available, obviously I'm missing something here.

mcgeezer asked for a whdload version, he must have his reasons. I think there's some trackloading involved when the game is running (some commercial games also appeared to have files, but used DOS only to boot and start the first executable, then it went completely non-OS: ex: Cannon Fodder 2, Sensible Soccer, a lot more...)

Unless someone can tell me the best way to bring the system up, kick the harddrives into life and start reading from them with the rest of the game up and running. Don't get me wrong, this might be the best way.... and I haven't even tried. If jotd says it's a big effort to make a WHDload of the game then I'll look into doing a full DOS loader option. Besides, the compo rules were explicit in that an ADF must be provided working on real hardware. Geezer |
