WHDLoad "Dungeon Master" on Minimig

Hello there!

I'm getting an error each time I try to launch this WHDLoad-ed classic:

Code:
Exception "Address Error" ($F00C)
PC = $D7F75C (Slave $5CC)
Read from $CFC251 (ExpMem $45421)
Its supposed to be fixed with the NoCache option, but it's not.
A lot of other games requiring the A500 rom installed in kickstarts DO work here: it's just Dungeon Master that fails.
I've tried both Whdload 1.6.9 and 1.7.0, same error is displayed.
I'm also using the latest (2009) slave.

Any other ideas?
Thanks!

I had a problem with dungeon master when I tried to get it going on my system. No matter which flag I set I could not get it to work until I repaced the most recent save I believe v 1.1 with the old v 1.0. So far it works fine. I also use whdownload version. I can't remember which other flags I set right now. The computer isn't right infront of me, but for me it was. Problem with the new slave version.

@roy_bates: tried NOVBRMOVE, and I get the same error. NOMMU doesn't make sense as Minimig doesn't have an MMU AFAIK. Tried anyway, it didn't make a difference, either.

@source: tried your suggestion and replaced the savegame from the 1.0 version (well, disk.2 actually). It didn't work either.

thanks, both of you. I believe it's just that Minimig CPU cache isn't actually disabled with NOCACHE, so DungeonMaster Whdload remains incompatible with it.

The Dungeon Master 1.0 Slave is intended for 68020+, and wouldn't work on a plain 68000 as the Minimig. If he means that, well, it's no use anyway :

yes, yes, but I registered Whdload to avoid the looooong loading times in some games, souch as this one: takes forever to load when I want to enter the dungeon.

This slave is buggy and don't works for 68000 CPU.

I take it we are talking Dungeon Master 1? (AFAIR, Dungeon Master 2 is 020+ only)

The last version (3.6?) from Psygnosis came unprotected on a standard DOS disk as a single part file (with Workbench Icon!) which can be run from Workbench on a plain 68000. If you copy this file to your hard drive it works from there too. I used this version on my A500 with GVP Impact HD8+ hard drive from start to end and I know it will work with MiniMig.

I'll double check the details when I get back home and post the details here and in the Zone.

That's VERY interesting, Alexh. Can you please detail the assigns, etc?

[EDIT] Tried 3.6. It's system-friendly and file-based, yes, but it won't load unless booted from the floppy disk: if the disk is inserted when the system has already booted an one tries to load the loader (bjload_e) an error saying "DISK DAMAGED" appears.
