Downgrading WHDLoad

Basically, I installed Classic Workbench, and I want to downgrade WHDLoad from 17 to 16.9. It won't let me just install 16.9 because it errors and say's I have a more recent version. How do I completely remove WHDLoad so I can install 16.9?

Doesn't matter, I got it.

Just rename or delete WHDLoad V17 and copy WHDLoad 16.9 to C: directory.

Out of interest, why the downgrade?
For me I had to upgrade because so many things didn't work properly

I was thinking the same thing.

You can always have more than one whdload version.
I have several on my system, whdload (always latest), whd168 etc.
If a game doesn't run properly with 17.0 beta I just change whdload to whd168 in icon info to use 16.8 instead (Street Rod 1 & 2 generic slaves springs to mind).

If that's the case Retroplay and Djay, I will include multiple versions in the next packs and a selector in settings which allows you to upgrade/downgrade at the click of a button. Using icons is better as you said, but many users may prefer just to switch on the fly and leave the icons standard.

Which versions should I include (latest 17b,16.9, 16.8). Anymore?

Always willing to add useful features!

17b and 16.8 should be enough I think.
17b runs what 16.9 does and 16.8 has so far not failed on any of the older slaves that don't work with 16.9 & 17b.
At least that's my experience so far.

I am running 17b, only had one problem but I can't confirm that the fault isn't in previous versions. I had graphic error on dreamweb aga... I did report it!

Try adding NOCACHE tool type in the slaves you have problems with using 17b.

I had to do that with Batman The Movie and a handful of other games to avoid graphic issues.
