Aerochopper
I honestly don't remember if I've already requested this, but a search returned no results, so we'll assume I didn't
On an Amiga Format coverdisk was a demo called Aerochopper. I'd like to know if anyone has the full thing (I don't want to say game because it's more of a simulation) I would've posted a screenshot, except I'm not sure which coverdisk it's on, since TOSEC coverdisks doesn't show what's on the disk. From my own reference file, I've written: xx - Vaxine FULL GAME, Wordworth Demo, Aerochopper Demo, + More So, the demo is on the same disk with Vaxine Full Game. If anyone has the Aerochopper full game, please upload it to the zone, as I would love to give it a try Thanks |

Sorry the pricelist was from 1998, so they might not sell it anymore.
Here is the demo for amiga http://www.funet.fi/pub/amiga/apps/s...opper-demo.lha The readme: (from aminet) Short: Free-running demo of RC Aerochopper by Ambrosia Type: game/demo Uploader: Ed Savage (savage@dg-rtp.dg.com) This is a demo of the commercial program "RC Aerochopper" from Ambrosia Microcomputer Products. You can watch some flights and different scenarios, but you won't be able to fly in this demo. It is an RC (radio control) simulator for helicopters, planes, jets, and gliders. The real program comes with a Futaba controller that plugs into your Amiga's serial port. The real thing is available from: Ambrosia Microcomputer Products, Inc. 98 W. 63rd St. Suite 371 Willowbrook, Illinois 60514 708-655-0610 check out this info http://www.airsailmodels.co.nz/simulat.htm |

I already have the demo (I have the coverdisk)
I saw the pricelist was from 1998, but I assume that even though the list is 4 years old, if he held out for that long, he'd probably hold out for longer But feel free to tell me I'm wrong and upload the full version if you have it |

You also need some special hardware to control the planes.
But looks pretty cool |

WOW! A Futaba controller!!!!!! That explains the price!
Man I'd LOVE to grab this, but I'd preffer an airplane version. RC Choppers are hard to control! |

Don't quote me on this, but if I recall correctly, the Amiga had both a helicopter and a plane version, but it's been a few years since I played with this program

Hi, dusty thread i know but a friend requested me a standard ADF file of this one so i did one. Uploaded into "TheZone!", easily transferable on floppy ! Note that the Workbench disc is required to run the game.

I actually have the hardware controller for this. Found it at a car boot sale a few years ago. Sadly the seller said (from what I can remember) that his son owned the Amiga and binned all his disks.
Could be interesting to add support for that to WinUAE, then you could use a Dual Shock-like controller to play it. |

The controller is indeed required (the friend who requested the ADF has it^^). It is also the US version, so you will maybe need to switch in NTSC mode. Support in WinUAE would be a good idea !

I recently got an R/C "transmitter" unit off eBay from Futaba. I plugged it into my A1000 serial port and ran the sim and both sticks respond when moved up from center and/or left from center. The top-left 1/4 of the 360-degree movement area registers, but nothing outside of that. Pulling down or pushing right on the sticks is the same as leaving dead center.
I see no way to calibrate the controller in the sim. And the manual seems not to be online anywhere for any of the versions. Anyone have any idea how to calibrate this R/C control box? Thanks. bp |
