Bridge Builder / Pontifex and clones
Played the hell out of them back in 2000-2005, such easy to get into and fun to master logical puzzle games. The original creators, Chronic Logic, are freaking hipsters - they made indie games before it was popular.

KG Bridge Constructor [2013] by ClockStone Bridge Constructor Medieval [2014] by ClockStone Bridge Constructor Playground [2014] by ClockStone Bridge Constructor Portal [2017] by ClockStone Bridge Constructor Stunts [2016] by ClockStone Poly Bridge [2016] by Dry Cactus Poly Bridge 2 [2020] by Dry Cactus Tiny Bridge: Ratventure [2015] by Estelion Last edited by Shoonay; 06 June 2020 at 16:45. |

I loved Pontifex 2! I'm now playing Bridge Constructor on my Android.
It's a bit limited, compared to its bigger brothers for PC, but it's good enough |

Have spent a lot of time on Pontifex back in the day. I bought Bridge Constructor on Steam not so long ago but it doesn't really tick me the same way. One major problem with it is that cables have no weight, which causes some really weird physics. In the original one, cables were made up of small segments which had mass. Also, in this one, cables are almost indestructible, so most bridges can be built quick and cheap using vertical wood pieces on top of a cable and a road on the top. Thus most bridges look almost the same -> very boring.

Bridge Constructor on Steam is what reminded me about these types of games, it's not the best game out there but I'm having fun with it. You could try the official Pontifex sequel - Bridge It + on Steam, from the original creators.

First Bridge Builder was awesome. Very simple and basic and very funny. I loved it.

Another fine clone added to the list: Poly Bridge [2016] by Dry Cactus.
